Homemade Maple Syrup

Homemade Maple Syrup

I love quick easy recipes. Especially when it’s for something that I continuously run out of in my house. This syrup is a recipe that’s been used by my mom, grandma and myself for years now. It is an absolute amazing substitute for store-bought syrup, and probably half the cost.

I feel like I should be almost writing a book when I write my posts. Today, I have writers block and seriously cannot think of any stories, or quick wit to entertain you all! So how about I keep this post short and sweet just like this recipe? Ok? Ok!

Ingredients:

1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup water
1 tsp maple extract

Directions:

In sauce pan stir together the sugars and water. Bring to a boil and boil for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add your maple extract. Stir to combine and serve immediately or let cool and store in container, does not require refrigeration.
